Chuck It and MOVE ON...

Hey, Guys. it's been a very long time since I've posted something... We've been bringing you everything from the hand-lettering ideas to watercolour techniques lately. But this time it's going to be some "Preach work"... Yeah, you heard it right. Have you ever been in a situation that people around you think that they can use you as a silly little moron whenever they want, take you for granted and then toss you into the trashcan? Then you are in the right place. So without further ado, I am going to tell you "5 Steps to NOT GIVE A SHIT!"

Number 1
Realize that you are too hard on yourself to give a damn.

That's the first step you need to know. As long as you keep going on with the stuff by adjusting with it, you will be the one to suffer.

Number 2
Forgive and forget! Umm no...

Letting that shit go does not always mean turning a blind eye to it. Sometimes, you need to raise your voice and put "people" back to their places. Because if you don't stand for yourself, then who will?

Number 3
Stop being a mommy

Yeah. This is something I learned from my personal experiences. Often, in the wrong impression of being a good girl, like in the fairytale, I end up being people's mommy. You know how mommies are. Sympathetic, unconditional and selfless. Believe me, you will be screwed if you don't stop doing this. Until you don't resign from your mommy post, they will keep treating you like you are their domestic help. So peeps, there is serious shit going on and you gotta handle it soon...

Number 4
Let them realize... And if they don't? Make them realize!

That's the worst thing you can do! NEVER ever follow rule number four in your life. Because bitches gonna never realize, and the dogs.... duh! Forget it! Most of the people who take you for granted already know they are. And they know how to. And how do you them stop from letting this happen? Just say NO! Loves, you gotta learn how to do that. Trust me it is not that difficult. It takes a lot of time, a lot of time, let me emphasize. But it's worth all the struggle. And it's really comforting.

Number 5
Let that shit go!

If people around you are morons, be another moron. A difficult one. Be hard on them, not on yourself. Be impossible. And show them the taste of their own medicine.
A Wise Person once said, Just chuck it and move on.

Well, that's what you guys gotta do... Goodbye folks.

HANDS ON HAND-LETTERING

What is Hand-Lettering? To many of us it may seem just like calligraphy, but there is a thin line between them. Calligraphy is more of an art of perfecting the motion of your pen, whereas lettering focuses more on drawing. And guys, Imperfection is beauty here! Its up to you, how precise you choose to be. Getting stated When I first started doing Hand-Lettering, I didn't care about the kind of paper, pen or tools that I used. I would simply start with ruled paper, ball point pens and at times scale and pencil. But you can begin with good tools like the Micron 1,3,5 pens and good quality plain papers, proper rulers and marking tools. To begin with, I would just sketch all the quotes I would see and keep practicing. Once I was confident that I could make almost all kinds of designs, I started making my own portfolio. We'll take a look on all my designs very soon. And I m sure you'll be able to make them too. Shhh, to be honest... I still don't use Micron pens &#...

Exploring more of Watercolouring

One thing that I find interesting about water-colour is that you can try a lot of super-cool techniques.  It seems like I have used a stencil in this painting but with water-colour, it is possible to do this without a stencil. Water-colour has an amazing property of transparency and spreading in water. To make this amazing bird painting or any other painting in this technique, draw the basic image and paint the outside with clean water using the brush, this is called 'wash'. Before the water dries, take your desired colour and apply it on the wet area. The colour instantly spreads to give this kind of texture.  So, it's time to try this technique yourself... Happy Water-colouring!!!

Let the MAGIC begin!

How it all started... A few months ago, I was sitting at my friend's apartment, when he suddenly started snooping through my phone and went on to say "Why ain't you participating in drama this year?". His question was indeed logical. I question myself in my mind once and said "Umm... I am not sure." And he said, "I hope you know that you are going to waste a lot of talent if you don't. Come on just go for it!" While I was still stuck between 'Drama or No Drama', he came up with one more question, "And what about your blog? When are you going to do that?"  And, that's what brought me here, blogging all that stuff which would have probably remained on my phone's File Explorer and then gone straight into the backup folder. About the Magician! Hi! I'm Subhashree, a Tamilian who hails from Kerala, currently living in Pune, pursuing my B.tech in Information Technology. Not long ago did I discover my inter...
